General Tso's Chicken

& 1/2 lbs Boneless Chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces

Cup Cornstarch

tsp Red Pepper Flakes (more or less depending on how spicy you want it)
2 TBLSP Avocado or Grapeseed oil
Sauce
1
&1/2 TBLSP Cornstarch
1/2
Cup Water

Cloves Garlic, minced

tsp Minced Fresh Ginger

Cup Raw Sugar
1/4
Cup Soy Sauce
1/4
Cup Rice Wine Vinegar
1/2
Cup Chicken Broth
1/2
Cup chopped Green Onions
Marinade
1/4
Cup Soy Sauce
1
tsp Ground Pepper
1
Egg White
1/2
Cup chopped Green Onions
Marinate
chicken for at least 15 minutes.
Heat
2 TBPS of oil in a largenon-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the red pepper
flakes letting cook for a few minutes to flavor the oil.
Dredge
chicken pieces in cornstarch.
Add
the chicken and cook until brown and crispy on both sides. You can raise the heat
to medium-high once the chicken is in the pan.
Remove
and transfer to a plate lined with paper towel.
Discard
the remaining oil. Add sauce to the skillet turn the heat to high. Stir until
it thickens and then turn off the heat. Stir in the chicken to coat.
Serve
with rice and broccoli.
I made this tonight, and my family and I loved it. It will definitely be a “go to” meal. I appreciate you posting recipes as I’m trying to be diet compliant, but am such a picky eater!!
